Minutes of Meeting of October 16, 2006
Senior Center Long Pond Room, 7:00 p.m.
Present: Carl Caruso, Chairman; Berta Bruinooge, William Carlson, Arlene Kirsch, Mac Hay, John Makely
Absent: Patricia Foley, Sylvia Smith, Nancy Bone
Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Purpose of meeting was to discuss comments for Special town Meeting Articles and prepare in written form.
Peter Hall answered questions on Community Preservation Fund Articles.
Becky Rosenberg of the Town Recreation Dept. addressed board on background information on Article 7, Skateboard Park.
Dan Silverman addressed board on Article 1 as it pertains to the Fire Station construction.
Board proceeded with discussion concerning comments on Articles.
Motion to rescind: To reserve recommendation to Town Meeting for Article 1 was approved 6-0. Motion to recommend Article 1 approved 6-0. Comments to be added as discussed, as written by Carlson and Kirsch.
Comments to be added as discussed for Articles 2, 3,4, as written by Kirsch for the majority, Caruso for the minority.
Motion to rescind: Vote not to recommend Article 7 was approved 6-0. Motion to recommend Article 7 approved 5-1. Comments to be added as discussed, as written by Bruinooge.
Comments to be added as discussed for Article 8, as written by Caruso.
All written comments were scheduled to be submitted to the Town Administrator on October 17, 2006 a.m.
Next meeting of the Finance Committee will be held November 30, 2006 at the Senior Center.
Meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
